St. Petersburg was built after Venice so there are many bridges and canals. Every day they raise the larger bridges at 2:00AM for all of the barges to get through and they don't lower them until 5:00AM. This is good information to have if you're a tourist who is going to a night club as the clubs don't close until very early morning.
